There is nothing better than the spontaneous joys that come with working with children! As a dental student I had a strong connection with my pediatric professors and always felt at home in the pediatric department. I admired how they were able to take something that felt big and scary and make it something completely doable and even fun! I strive every day to bring that same magic into the clinic at Carolina Pediatric Dentistry! Every day is truly a new adventure!
My calm manner and detail-oriented hands have been an asset to me in my career as I aim to not only care for little teeth but the kids that come with those teeth! My goal is that every child I see gets gold-standard care and feels that I really care. For me, the greatest fulfillment comes when I am able to help an anxious little one overcome their fears and develop courage and resilience to face the challenges in their lives, inside and outside the clinic.
It is a great privilege for me to work alongside such incredible providers and our team in providing the best oral health care possible to the children in our community. I look forward to building long lasting relationships with the patients I serve and their families. See you at the office!
After graduating from Brigham Young University, I headed to the midwest and began my journey in the world of dentistry at Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee. I fell in love with the people of the midwest and sought out a job working with children there upon my graduation in 2019. The two years I spent working in Milwaukee instilled in me a love for compassionate care for all, particularly children. I decided to continue my pediatric specialty training as a resident with NYU Langone Dental Medicine at a satellite clinic in Yakima, Washington. I am excited to be completing the last step in Board Certification this fall!
I firmly believe that ongoing learning is essential for providing optimal care to our young patients. Through regular participation in advanced training programs, seminars, and workshops, I continually expand my expertise in areas such as preventive dentistry, behavior management, and the latest developments in pediatric dental techniques. By continuously refining my skills and staying abreast of emerging trends, I strive to ensure that every child who walks through our doors receives the highest standard of evidence-based dental care tailored to their individual needs.
I met my wife Chelsea on the eve of the 2020 pandemic. We sat next to each other on a short layover from Denver to Salt Lake, started talking, and the rest is history! We eloped during the pandemic and were married under a rose arbor in her parents backyard. We now have two beautiful daughters who keep us on our toes and fill us with so much joy. When we are not working we enjoy anything live on a stage- we are passionate about music and theater! I also enjoy spending time in my garden, exploring global culture and food through travel, and making art in my home ceramics studio.
