DR. ANNE BAKER, DDS, MPH
Eligible Candidate for Board certification, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry
Dr. Baker has always loved working with children, teaching dance and art camps through much of her life. It was after working with the Baby Oral Health Program (bOHP) during college that Dr. Baker knew the profession of Pediatric Dentistry was where her passions—art, science, education, and helping children in need—came together.
Dr. Baker graduated from the University of Georgia in 2011, where she was a member of the Honors Program and was captain of the football dance team, the Georgettes. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from UNC School of Dentistry and completed her certificate in general dentistry at UNC’s General Practice Residency Program in 2016. She remains at UNC, and is actively pursuing her certificate of pediatric dentistry and her Master of Public Health in Health Policy and Management, with anticipated graduation in 2019.
She is the oral health intern for the Pediatric Oral Health Research and Policy Center with the Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and was awarded the 2018-19 Sunstar/AAPD Research Fellowship, a competitive research award given to only two residents in the country. She is looking forward to joining the Carolina Pediatric Dentistry family and intends to pursue her board certification through the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry following graduation.
When she is not practicing dentistry, Dr. Baker spends time with her husband, Nick, and their dog, Lady. They enjoy eating, traveling, and getting outdoors together!
